CAMDEN — A 54-year-old man in the South Mills area died of an apparent drug overdose earlier this month, according to the Camden County Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Office and Pasquotank-Camden Emergency Medical Services were called to the home on Nosay Road around 8 a.m. on July 6 and found the man suffering from an apparent drug overdose, according to Camden Sheriff Kevin Jones.
EMS arrived first and was seeking to revive the man when deputies arrived, Jones said. The man’s time of death was listed by EMS as 8:39 a.m., he said.
The suspected cause of death was a drug overdose but the body was taken to Greenville for an autopsy, Jones said.
