Students in Kelly Russell’s woodworking connect class at Perquimans County Middle School construct wooden caddies.

Risks of Tobacco Use

Students in Heather Winslow’s health classes at Perquimans County Middle School learn the health risks of tobacco use, including electronic cigarettes, from health educators with Albemarle Regional Health Services.

Flexible Seating

Eighth-graders in Katie Phthisic’s language arts classes are using flexible seating to choose a working environment that is comfortable and functional to help them perform their best. Funding for this opportunity was provided by Phthisic’s Donors Choose grant, “Traveling through Literature in Comfort and Style.”
