College Roundup | ECSU men's basketball team earns first win of season

The Elizabeth City State men’s basketball team defeated Urbana 72-59 Saturday at the Earl Lloyd Classic on the campus of West Virginia State University.
Justin Faison led ECSU (1-1) with 20 points, five assists and four steals, Joseph Allen followed with 17 points and eight rebounds, while Zaccheus Hobbs scored 15 points in the win.
The Vikings shot 47.4 % from the field in the win.
Kyle Kegley led Urbana (0-2) with 14 points and eight rebounds.
Mid-Atlantic Christian 75, Blue Lights 71: The Mustangs secure the win Saturday at Chesson Gym.
Jabari Richardson led MACU with 22 points and three steals, Malik Galloway followed with 21 points, 13 rebounds, three blocks and two steals, while Kevin Fletcher scored 14 points in the win.
Coleman Agbo led the Mustangs with 14 rebounds.
Kenny Anderson led Blue Lights with 19 points.
Johnston Community College 84, Mid-Atlantic Christian JV 62: The MACU junior varsity men’s basketball team lost Saturday at Chesson Gym.
Jajour Lambert led MACU with 23 points, four assists, three steals and four rebounds, Norris Gardner followed with 13 points and nine rebounds.
Slippery Rock 76, Elizabeth City State 75: The Vikings (0-2) lost Saturday night in the final game of the PSAC/CIAA Challenge at the Vaughan Center.
Asia Deal led ECSU with 20 points, five assists, and five rebounds, Devona Stell followed with 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Nyasia Lango posted 12 points.
Daeja Quick led Slippery Rock (1-1) with 19 points and five assists.
